About Canadian Express Entry
In January 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) launched a new electronic system called Express Entry to manage applications for permanent residence under these federal economic immigration programs:
- the Federal Skilled Worker Program,
- the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and
- the Canadian Experience Class.
You can submit your application for an assessment under the Canadian Express Entry program.
The Express Entry system will replace the earlier system which will continue till 31st December 2015. The Express Entry system is designed to be a better and faster system of economic immigration to Canada. A strong emphasis on language skills and educational assessment continues from the earlier system.
A significant jump in the emphasis on having a job offer from a Canadian employer is the key differentiation in the new system. Applicants for immigration to Canada who are able to connect with Canadian employers, will be able to reach Canada within a few months.
