Partially yes, but with some conditions. As of June 6, 2023, Filipino citizens may be eligible for visa-free travel to Canada through the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program, but it depends on specific circumstances:
Who is eligible for the eTA:
- Filipino citizens who held a valid Canadian visa in the past 10 years or
- Filipino citizens who currently hold a valid US non-immigrant visa.
Important notes:
- This applies only to air travel. If you’re entering Canada by land or sea, you’ll still need a visitor visa.
- The eTA doesn’t guarantee entry to Canada. Border officials have the final say.
- You can stay in Canada for up to 6 months with an eTA.
If you don’t meet the eTA requirements, you’ll need to apply for a regular visitor visa.
